Grade 3 Happenings

Wow, it has been WAY too long since I have last been on here.  Leading up to Christmas is always a crazy time!

On January 27th, we begin our school skating.  Skating runs from 10:00 - 11:00.  If there are any parents willing to tie skates that would be wonderful!

Also, on Thursday, we have our monthly awards assembly.  It begins at 2:45.  Hope to see you all there. 

On January 28th, the teachers are attending a division wide professional development day.  The students get to enjoy a long weekend.

I would like to send out a huge thank-you to all of the parents and students who came out for parent-teacher interviews.  We had 100% attendance! 
The students do not have school on Friday, November 26th.
Awards assembly is on Monday, November 29th at 1:35.  Hope to see you all there.

Report Card & Parent Teacher Interviews

On Monday, November 15th, the students will be given their report cards.  Please sign and return them as soon as possible.
Please refer to your interview schedule for your date and time.  We are doing student led conferences this term.  It is important that both you and your child attend.

Mom's Pantry

Last week, the students were sent home with Mom's Pantry forms.  Mom's Pantry is our school's biggest fundraiser.  We receive 40% percent of the proceeds raised.  Encourage your children to sell to family and friends.

Please return all forms by November 8th.

Halloween Party

On Friday, we will be watching a movie Friday morning.  The students may bring a snack and a drink for the movie (no pop).  After lunch, there is a costume parade at 12:45 followed by our monthly awards ceremony.

PLACE

On Wednesday, we will be beginning PLACE.  The students will be going out into the community and exploring different art forms.  On Wednesday and Thursday, please pack a lunch.  There will be no access to a microwave.  To wrap up PLACE, the students will be performing or showing their masterpieces on Friday afternoon.  Parents are welcome to attend.

Agenda Note

Just a reminder that tomorrow is early dismissal.  The students will be dismissed at 11:45.  On Friday, the SRC will be selling Subway cookies for $1.00.
Don't forget to study for your spelling test, which is on Friday!
